What This Looks Like in Practice
It is Tuesday morning and something feels off. Not emergency-room off — but enough that it has been bothering you since yesterday and you are not sure whether to wait it out or do something about it. In the traditional model, your options are to call your doctor’s office and hope for a callback, go to urgent care and spend two hours waiting, or talk yourself out of it and hope it resolves. As a VDPC member, you send Ed a message. By midday you have an appointment within 2–4 business days. You go in, you get a real answer, and you leave with a clear plan — not a referral to someone you have never met and a follow-up in six weeks. That is what direct access actually means in practice.
Be Heard.
It’s not just a slogan. This clinic is designed so that you know your medical needs are important to us and that we’re here for you.
Feel Accepted.
This is non-judgmental care. We want you to receive the proper healthcare to meet you where you’re at and make you better.
Experience Care.
We want you to enjoy life, and to receive compassionate care for your medical needs. At VDPC, care is kind + thoughtful.

Meet Ed
Hi, I’m Ed – founder and the Primary Medical Care Provider at VDPC.
I went into medicine to help people feel better. That is what makes our heartbeat at VDPC. And after 10+ years in the medical field, I grew tired of seeing care that didn’t value each individual patient.
That’s why I started Vancouver Direct Primary Care – and with the help of modern technology, we know our method gives the best care on your terms.
We know that by partnering with our patients – we can more effectively build an impactful wellness plan that aligns with your value. Join VDPC and gain an advocate for your health.

Still Have Questions? We've got answers.
Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a membership-based healthcare model. Instead of paying per visit or dealing with insurance billing, you pay a flat monthly fee that gives you direct access to your primary care provider. That means unlimited visits, simple scheduling, no co-pays, and fast communication when you need care.
DPC removes the barriers that often make healthcare stressful—like long waits, rushed appointments, and unpredictable costs. At VDPC, you get a trusted provider who knows you, sees you when you need care, and has time to focus on your long-term health. It’s care designed around you—not an insurance company.
Actually, it often costs less. Because DPC removes third-party billing and unnecessary overhead, your monthly membership gives you more personalized care without extra charges. Many patients save money by avoiding urgent care visits, unnecessary tests, and insurance-related fees.
VDPC doesn’t bill insurance for visits, which helps keep your care simple and transparent. You can still use insurance for things like labs, imaging, prescriptions, or specialist visits. Many patients find that pairing DPC with a high-deductible or catastrophic insurance plan gives them great coverage at a lower overall cost.
Membership starts at just $149/month. There are no enrollment fees, no surprise bills, and you can cancel anytime. Your membership includes all primary care visits, direct messaging with your provider, and ongoing support for your health.
You can sign up online in just a few minutes. Once you’re enrolled, we’ll reach out to schedule your first appointment. From there, you’ll have direct access to your provider—by phone, text, or in person—whenever you need support.
How It Works, Step by Step
1 — You enroll online
Getting started takes about five minutes. You sign up through our online enrollment portal, choose your membership, and provide some basic information. No referral needed, no prior authorization, no insurance approval required. If you have questions before you enroll, you can always call or message us first.
2 — Your intake visit
Your first appointment is a full 60-minute visit. This is not a rushed intake form — it is an actual conversation. Ed will take the time to understand your health history, your current concerns, your goals, and anything you have been putting off or unsure about. By the end of it, you will have a plan and a provider who knows who you are.
3 — Direct access, starting immediately
From the moment you are a member, you have Ed’s direct contact. That means you can send a message, request an appointment within 2–4 business days, or hop on a quick phone or video call — without going through a scheduling system that puts you three weeks out. Most questions don’t require an in-person visit. Most in-person visits don’t require a two-week wait.
4 — Your membership, month to month
Your membership renews monthly at a flat rate with no per-visit fees, no copays, and no bills arriving weeks after the fact. If your needs change, we can talk through what makes sense. If you ever need to cancel, you can do so with a simple message and no questions asked. The goal is for this to feel like a resource you actually want to keep — not a contract you are locked into.
