Get Your Annual Physical in Vancouver, WA with Vancouver Direct Primary Care
Vancouver Direct Primary Care makes annual physicals and wellness exams a natural part of your healthcare routine — not something you scramble to schedule once a year. We believe a good physical is more than checking boxes. It is a conversation about where your health is today and where you want it to be. Our patients come to us for checkups for all kinds of reasons. Some need documentation for work, school, or sports. Some are managing a chronic condition and want a thorough yearly review. Many are simply overdue and want a provider who will actually listen.
Why Primary Care Is the Right Place for Your Physical Exam
Vancouver Direct Primary Care, your physical is never rushed. Many patients try to schedule annual physicals through urgent care clinics or large health systems, only to feel rushed through a 10-minute appointment with a provider they have never met. At Vancouver Direct Primary Care, your wellness exam is performed by a provider who knows your full health picture — not just the snapshot in front of them. Because we operate on a direct primary care model, we are not pressured by insurance billing cycles or appointment quotas. That means your wellness exam gets the time and attention it deserves, every single time.
We take the time to review your full health history, discuss any concerns you have been putting off, and create a clear picture of your overall wellness. When you leave, you will know exactly where you stand.
What We Cover in Your Physical Exam
Head-to-Toe Health Review
Your provider will assess your cardiovascular health, respiratory function, reflexes, skin, and more — a complete physical evaluation tailored to your age and health history.
Labs & Preventive Screenings
Annual physicals at Vancouver DPC include bloodwork, cholesterol checks, blood pressure monitoring, and any age-appropriate screenings your provider recommends.
Real Talk About Your Health
This is your time to bring up anything you have been meaning to discuss — weight, sleep, stress, energy levels. We treat wellness exams as a starting point, not a finish line.
Personalized Physical Exams Built Around You
Once you’re ready to prioritize your health, your next step is scheduling your physical at Vancouver Direct Primary Care.
Your provider will review your personal health history, your family history, your lifestyle, and your goals before making any recommendations.
When your exam is complete, we walk you through your results in plain language and discuss any follow-up steps together. Your checkup is the beginning of an ongoing health conversation — not a once-a-year transaction.

Will I Have to do Any Testing at My Physical Exam?
Yes — depending on your age, health history, and any symptoms you are experiencing, your provider may order bloodwork, cholesterol panels, blood sugar tests, or other screenings during your visit. These are not separate appointments. At Vancouver Direct Primary Care, lab orders are handled as part of your physical so everything is addressed in one visit.
Does Insurance Cover Exam Costs?
As a direct primary care clinic, Vancouver Direct Primary Care does not bill insurance for your visits — your membership covers your annual physical and wellness exams at no additional per-visit cost. If you have insurance, you are still welcome to use it for specialist referrals or hospital care. Many of our members find that the DPC model saves them significantly compared to traditional insurance co-pays and fees.
If you have either an FSA or an HSA then you may be able to use those to cover the costs for your physical exam. If you do not have an HSA or an FSA, but do have insurance, we can use the insurance for medications you may need prescribed. If you do not have insurance, we intentionally keep our prices low to make sure you can get the testing and treatment you need.
Do I Need to Schedule a Physical?
If any of the following applies to you, it may be time to schedule a physical: you haven’t had a checkup in over a year, you’ve noticed changes in your energy, weight, or sleep, you have a family history of heart disease or diabetes, you need documentation for work or school, or you’re starting a new medication or health routine.
At Vancouver Direct Primary Care, our clinicians want to see our patients feel their best in work, home, and everyday life. Getting a physical is one of the most proactive things you can do for your long-term health.

Why Choose Our Vancouver, WA Clinic for Physical Exams
Vancouver Direct Primary Care is a membership-based clinic. Just like a gym membership gives you ongoing access to the equipment and support you need, our membership gives you ongoing access to a primary care provider who knows you — without the hassle of insurance billing or long wait times.

FAQs About Physical Exams
How often should I get an annual physical?
Most adults benefit from a comprehensive physical exam once a year, though your provider may recommend more frequent checkups depending on your age, health history, or any ongoing conditions. If it has been more than a year since your last physical, now is a good time to schedule one.
What should I bring to my physical exam?
If you are a new patient, bring a list of any current medications, your insurance card if applicable, and any relevant health records or lab results from previous providers. If you are an existing member, your provider already has your history on file.
Does my membership cover my annual physical?
Yes. Physical exams and wellness visits are included in your Vancouver Direct Primary Care membership. There are no per-visit fees for your annual checkup — it is part of what your membership is designed to give you.
Can I get lab work done at my physical?
Absolutely. Your provider can order bloodwork, cholesterol panels, blood sugar tests, and other screenings during or after your visit. As a DPC member, you also benefit from significantly reduced lab costs through our wholesale pricing.
We Want You to Feel Better
A lot of people put off their annual physical because they are nervous about what they might find out. Staying informed is always better than wondering — and whatever we find, you won’t be facing it alone.
Many of our patients tell us they didn’t realize how much they were carrying until they finally had a provider who took the time to listen. Your wellness exam is a chance to bring up everything you’ve been putting off.
We built Vancouver Direct Primary Care around the idea that primary care should feel like a relationship, not a transaction. Let us show you what healthcare is supposed to feel like.
